About

3D Drumchapel is a family project providing support, strengthening relationships and empowering families to make positive changes.3D Drumchapel provide play sessions for children and their families. We also have a baby bank, which provides essential clothing and equipment to local families on low income. We are looking for people to help us facilitate our play activities and assist with processing donations in our baby bank. We have a number of flexible roles to suit everyone.

With the cost of raising children growing every year, 3D Drumchapel are lending a helping hand. In response to our growing community, we have a large stock of quality new and pre-loved clothing and toys. We also have essential equipment and other items for new-borns and children up to 5 years old. These items are completely free for families who need them, and for clothing in particular we have a wide selection available.

Our Bairn Necessities project is dedicated to supporting families in need in Drumchapel, Knightswood & Yoker. Our aim is to save local families money by offering good quality children’s toys, clothing and equipment, free or at low cost. All of our items are donated from the local community, businesses and other organisations. We accept referrals from families themselves, and professional bodies such as Health Visitors, Social Workers and community organisations. Any profits we make from donations and, more recently sales on Facebook, are used to subsidise our referrals, meaning a child need never go without age appropriate underwear, seasonally appropriate clothing/footwear, toys and other essential equipment. We also offer volunteering and training opportunities to parents living from the local community.

To become a volunteer, all you need is enthusiasm and a desire to help. A little of your spare time makes a huge difference. You can volunteer as much or as little as you like and any time will be greatly appreciated. With your help, we will be able to continue to help and support the families of Drumchapel, Yoker & Knightswood.

Flexible opportunities are available from Monday - Thursday between the hours of 9am - 3pm.
