Elections Information

This page displays information on how to note in our elections, the election rules and a timetable which displays what's happening from the noninations stage, until the winners are announced. 

Election Rules 

When participating in the Big Student Elections, you must abide by the rules set out by our governing body, NUS. To view the Election Rules, click here  

Voting Information 

To vote in the elections, you will need to log in to the website. You can find out more information on logging in to the website here. You then need to visit Presidential Elections and cast your vote.

Nominations Open Monday 27th January, 9am
Nominations Close Friday 7th February, 1pm
Candidates' Briefing Sessions* Monday 10th February, 12 noon and 4pm
Final changes to manifestos and flyers  Friday 12th February, 1pm 
Announcement of Candidates Tuesday 18th February 
Elections Q&A Wednesday 19th February, 12 noon 
Campaign Period Begins and Voting Opens  Monday 24th February, 9am 
Voting Closes Friday 28th February, 5pm 
Winners announced  Friday 6th March
