Thank you to all the students who got involved in our City Cares Christmas Appeal for Glasgow Women's Aid. They provide refuge housing for women and children who are victims of domestic abuse so they can live free from fear.
Following the generous donations, all 51 children and 46 women at the refuge will receive a gift this Christmas.
The gifts have been dropped off at Glasgow Women's Aid following our It's a Wrap events, where students volunteered their time to wrap the donated gifts.
The events took place across both campuses with volunteers from across the college. Speaking on why he wanted to get involved, barbering student Robert Walker said, “I really wanted to help, and I absolutely love wrapping presents.”
Another student volunteer, Stephanie Fleming said, “This is such a rewarding thing to do for Glasgow Women’s Aid, knowing that someone is going to wake up to presents on Christmas morning.”
