About Us

The Multicultural Exchange Network (MCE) is an exciting opportunity for Home and International students to share each other's cultures and take part in language exchange. Discuss different topics like celebrations, literature, and filmmaking; share experiences and play games about different countries like Kahoot! and Top of the World!

The network is optional and open to anyone who wants to have fun and participate in Language Exchange, meet new friends from different countries, and gain new knowledge about Scotland and other countries. We are also running New to Glasgow-themed meetings where you can learn more about the city and its culture.

What to expect and how to join?

After clicking the joining button, you will be added to a Network Hub, where you can communicate with other members and see updates about the network. All the updates will be posted by Polly, your Vice President Social and Activities or a Network Lead. Network leads are students who will set up and organise the network's meetings. They also help the Students' Association to promote and run their network.

Looking for a Network Lead

Multicultural Exchange Network is looking for new network leads; check the Volunteering Hub if you’re interested in the role.

Network lead is a responsible role that opens you an opportunity to learn new skills and achieve a volunteering certificate by the end of the year.

One of our network leads said, "Being a network lead will really improve your social, leadership, and communication skills for the area that you want to be a network lead for.”

Check out the New to Glasgow Hub to get advice about the city.
