Hello, my name is Josh!
I am running for the Vice President of learning and teaching.
After leaving school in 2016, I decided further education wasn’t for me at the time. I went into the hospitality industry and quickly worked my way into management, during this I worked on a HNC and HND in management. I learned that working and learning is a difficult process and managing it isn’t an easy task, however I believe this has made me the perfect candidate for this role.
I am now currently coming to the end of my first year at the COGC, studying media and communications at HNC level.
If elected as your Vice President of Learning and Teaching, I would use the foundations already set out by the previous VP and set out to build on this and create an environment that suits everyone. I am looking to travel abroad upon the completion of my course at the COGC and would like to use my time here to help others learn and adapt.
Beliefs:
- All students have the right to learn
- All students have the right to success
- All students have the right to be heard and listened to
- That all students should have access to an inclusive learning environment that works to their strengths and whilst mentoring their weakness’.
I will work closely with students and lectures to ensure that I do my best to achieve the best for all students.
Thank you!
