Come celebrate LGBTQIA+ History Month with the Students' Association.
This month, we're celebrating the vibrant and diverse LGBTQIA+ Culture and all that it represents. The theme this year is community. We will explore how important community is for folk, whether it be friends, chosen family, teachers, co-workers, or support spaces. We want to show you what the community looks like for LGBTQIA+ folk as well as allies. We hope to raise awareness, promote acceptance, and honour contributions and stories.
Throughout the month, we'll be hosting a series of workshops that will give students the opportunity to showcase their work and share their own experiences with the LGBTQIA+ community. These workshops will be a safe and inclusive space for all students to come together and learn from each other.
At the end of the month, we'll be hosting an exhibition that will highlight the stories and contributions of the students who have participated in our workshops as well as interviews we have been recording over the month. This exhibition will be a powerful and moving display of the resilience, creativity, and strength of the LGBTQIA+ community.
We invite everyone to join us in celebrating LGBTQIA+ History Month and to take part in our workshops and exhibition.
