Bring a smile to someone's face by sharing your creativity!
The Students’ Association have partnered with Blackwood Homes and Care and our Creative Writing Society here at the college for our new Creative Pen Pals initiative. We are encouraging staff and students throughout the college to create something to share with the local residents of one of Blackwoods Glasgow care homes.
Purpose:
We know that these past few years have been challenging for people of all ages, with feelings of isolation being prevalent for many. This feel-good campaign aims to connect the college community with those elsewhere in Glasgow, to share positive thoughts and sentiments.
How to get involved:
- Write a letter, short story, or poem – or if you’re feeling extra creative why not paint or draw something nice.
- Bring your item to the Students’ Association office (either campus) during office hours - You do not need to put any postage addresses or stamps on your item
- We will collect all the items and send them to Blackwood to share with their residents
- Anything that is sent back to the Students’ Association from the residents will be shared on our website and social media channels for participants at the college to see.
Please note we have updated our deadline from the 9th of May (as stated in the video below) to 19th of May.
Please ensure that you have handed in your donations to one of the Students' Association office by the end of the day on the 19th for us to send to Blackwood.
