3K Santa Dash

Staff and students at the City of Glasgow College are invited to get involved in a bit of festive (virtual) fun leading up to Christmas. We've all been sad that the usual Santa Dash isn't happening in Glasgow this year, so we've decided to come up with our own alternative. Therefore we're asking your to take part virtually in aid of the Beatson Cancer Charity. If you want to do it in festive fancy dress, all the better as there will be a prize on offer for the best submission! More details will be announced on Thursday. 

Get Involved 

From Friday 11^th December, up to Wednesday 16^th December, participants are asked to complete a 3km distance, either by walking, jogging or running.  All you have to do is choose a day and time that works for you.  Ideally, you should ensure you use a suitable app such as Strava or MapMyRun to track your activity. You can access this via android or iPhone. If however, you do not have a tracking device, this is fine and you will not be excluded from taking part.

To take part, all you need to do is fill in some essential details needed in our online registration form.

Where possible, we are asking people to donate £5, which will go directly to our chosen charity Beatson Cancer Charity. Also, family and/or friends can sponsor you via our Just Giving Page.

Finally, don't forget to join our Santa Dash Facebook group, set up for all staff and students to share your run!  Don’t forget to use the hashtag #city3ksantadash on your social media platforms when uploading content. For those that don't have a social media account, please email a screenshot of your run and/or selfie to Andrew.Kirk@cityofglasgowcollege.ac.uk.  All participants will receive a digital certificate via email upon completion on the run!
