In 2022 we came to the end of our first Strategic Plan, which outlined the work of the Students' Association from 2019-2022.
We worked alongside staff, students, and external partnerships such as NUS Scotland and SPARQs to develop a robust plan to ensure that the Students' Association supported student-led opportunties and championed the voice of our members.
This year, as part of our interim year, we worked with our active members and internal college partners to reflect on the work achieved by the Students' Association, the successes of the strategic plan, and areas for continued improvements.
Our students felt that the mission statements and values outlined in the 2019-2022 plan were still relevant and that, while a lot of meaningful work had been done, there were some areas for further development within our strategic plan.
As a result, we adapted the themes from our previous plan to ensure we were continuing to progress in these areas and maintaining the good work that we had done. We also decided that, in order to ensure we made significant progress to our new themes and objectives, we would extend the period of our plan to five years.
The 2023-2028 Strategic Plan outlines our vision for the Students' Association for the next five years, and how we plan to achieve these areas of development that our members have decided should be our next priorities.
Everything we do is aimed at making sure our student members have the best possible experience while at City of Glasgow College through the academic and social support or facilitates we provide. We look forward to working together to deliver this plan, and we’ll continue to regularly carry out research and provide opportunities for students to let us know how they think we’re doing.
